Step 1: The initial inquiry:

Whey you contact us, we listen to understand your needs. Based on your needs we can quickly tell if we can help. The next step will be to schedule an initial no-obligation meeting.

Step 2: No-obligation meeting:

With this step we get together for about an hour to get to know each other and develop a better understanding of your needs. The time involved in your project will depend upon what you want us to address and the complexity of your finances.

You may wish to address one or more issues or to conduct a comprehensive plan. In every case, we will provide a not-to-exceed estimated fee before you hire us. In most cases we will quote a fixed fee so you know exactly what our services will cost.

Step 3: Data gathering, input and review:

Most of the information needed for an engagement is readily available. The gathering of the data can be tedious but it is a critical step in the process. Upon review of the data, we are apt to have several questions. These questions can be answered when we meet to discuss our assumptions such as that date you will retire or how you see your expenses increasing or decreasing in retirement.

Step 4: Plan preparation and review:

A written plan and recommended actions are prepared to address your specific needs. This plan is presented either in a single meeting or series of meetings depending upon the complexity of the plan. Most clients follow the recommended actions and implement our recommendations. If you want assistance with the implementation or need a “financial conscience” to coach you through the process, we are available to assist you at our hourly rate.

Step 5: Financial Checkups:

Periodic meetings and reviews can help you keep on track to your financial goals. You can schedule these periodic meetings whenever you feel you have a question or feel that you could use some guidance.

Some clients schedule a financial checkup once or twice a year to discuss any changes in their financial situation or to make certain they have someone who is encouraging them to continue with their action plan. We encourage clients to call us at anytime they have an issue or concern while there are still many options to choose from.
